OngoingPurl is a B2B SASS product designed for marketers which allows them to generate white listed shorturls. The idea for this came when one of our partner agencies, LavaBeam, wanted something around this for one of their clients. Having prior experience in such requirements due to our product Trakneo, we knew the technology stack that we wanted to depend on. We used PostgreSql to handle the list of long URLs we recieved from the users and storing the converted short URLs was done in firestore. The process of conversion, file management and generating the short URLs was handled using a nodejs backend deployed on Google Cloud Platform's serverless services, Google Cloud Functions and Google Cloud Run. The clicks, counts and other analytics data on these generated short URLs was maintained in bigquery. The user facing frontend for this entire system was built in reactjs.
